IT is indeed correct to say in last week’s Times that Melville council voted for a 3 per cent pay rise at its Ordinary Meeting on November 17

However, as noted in the minutes of that meeting (which are publicly available on the City of Melville’s website), the motion was carried eight votes to four, with Councillors Woodall, Foxton, Phelan and Barling opposing the motion.
