‘Game’ cruel

Imagine how much fun that “game” is.

These people are fleeing persecution, many are stateless, have no place to call home and no other way to claim asylum.

Why would any hum an being not protest at the treatment successive governments in Australia have dished out to some of the most vulnerable people in the world.

The only ‘game’ being played is the ‘refugee as political football’ game at the expense of vulnerable people’s lives and our nation’s loss of soul and compassion.

To the politicians and those polled who think we should be crueller; really, the only crueller thing we could do is to shoot these poor people outright.

These people are just like you and me in wanting to live a life free of fear.
