Most of us oldies left school at 14 and to talk about raising the retirement age to 70 is a joke.

Those of us who had physical work did well to reach 60 before we had back trouble or other physical problems.

Yes, I have no doubt financial hardship may be necessary to fix our money problems, but when you see leaders of the party going crook at what this current government is at least trying to repair, it’s a joke.

You would see the axe fall if this was private enterprise, but no, they are still employed with all the benefits, super and great wages.

We as kids went to school in bare feet, so please don’t tell us about bloody sacrifices.
