I CAN’T understand the fuss about wind farms.

There is a set of these on a site near Albany and having stood very close to the blades the only noise was the “whoosh” as the blades rotated through the air.

My son and I visited Greece late last year and there in the uninhabited rural areas are wind farms everywhere, together with sets of solar panels.

Greece has wide, open spaces, plenty of sun and wind – like us.

Greece is a poor country but was able to afford this expenditure.

We should mimic Greece: think of the savings in greenhouse gases, coal and fuel oil.
