Immediate need

Janice TeoMelville Gazette

MOST Cockburn councillors appear to be blind to the benefits offered by the proposed direct link from their area to the western suburbs over the Stirling Bridge.

They have continually ignored the advice of their own staff and independent reports which support a direct road link for their residents instead of having to follow a tortuous path through the streets of Fremantle or detour through Willagee.

While an outer harbour will eventually have to be built, the immediate need is for better road access to the northern suburbs to service the increasing residential development in Cockburn.
