Think of the aftermath if you can.
It annoys some of us when adults don’t think of what they are doing to the environment or future generations.
They just live for today. Balloons and the strings can do damage, some ending up in waterways, strangling marine life and fouling riverbeds.
Once I saw a pair of ducks, one had its leg caught in string with balloon trailing; now it could easily get its other leg caught up and even its little mate following close behind could become entangled.
Sending off balloons at funeral too is a senseless habit. The deceased could have been an animal lover or an environmentalist.
What need is there to send up balloons for weddings, funerals and so forth?
