Low act

Janice TeoMelville Gazette

AS a volunteer with a local charity shop, I was astounded last week to find that an item I had put out for sale has been "raided".

This was a two-up kip in its original packaging of cardboard with moulded plastic sealing in the kip.

On Monday, it was on the shelf with the plastic pulled away and the two coins gone.

If you know someone who has been playing with two shiny golden coins you can tell him or her you know how they acquired them and that it was a low act.

It is one more item that cannot be sold to raise money for unfortunate people. I say "one more" because there are thieves who take things from all charity shops.

If we had more volunteers we could have someone watching to prevent thefts.

Thank you to all the lovely people who donate goods, those who buy them and the volunteers we do have.
