More parking woes at Melville Plaza

Jenni Zaccaria, KardinyaMelville Gazette

IT was interesting to read in last week’s edition about Rosemary Baker receiving a parking fine at Melville Plaza.

A few weeks back my son and family came up from the country and stayed with me. One morning I took their car to Kardinya Shopping Centre as it had the car seat for my granddaughter who came with me.

Later that afternoon my son went down to the shopping centre and parked in a completely different spot to mine in the morning.

Upon coming back out to his car, he had a parking fine.

He contacted the parking company and was told he had to send a copy of the receipt of the shopping he had done and then they would waive the fine… and to not let it happen again .

Mind you, he has vowed never to go there again as he does not want to have make phone calls and post off his receipts because of a shopping trip

I spoke to the centre manager regarding this situation and she said yes, she was aware there was a glitch in the system and that there was nothing they could do about it.
