The wave park application is still causing a lot of angst in the community.
It now appears that there are three proposed parks in the works for Australia, each valued around $25 million.
Based on Surf Snowdonia in Wales’ quoted rate, a three-hour surfing session would set me back 150 pounds, plus I can hire a surfboard (10 pounds) and a wetsuit (five pounds) – hardly a price point that would make me want to give up free surfing at the beach.
Rather than destroying the current amenity at this riverfront location would it not be a sensible solution to locate the surf park in an area that already has the infrastructure to accommodate the proposal.
Adventure World in Bibra Lake is already a similar use theme park which would benefit from the symbiotic matching and putting it there could grow each others’ businesses and turn the area into a recreation hub.
Just a different view on the subject.
