Opinion: Support for surf park has cost some councillors their seats

Karl Kellers, Alfred CoveMelville Gazette

Rachel Gunderson writes (Nov 28) “It was refreshing to see the Minister unswayed by the misinformation peddled by the anti-surf park group”.

Perhaps she already has forgotten that the electors are also the “judge and jury”.

In the recent elections quite a few councillors lost their seat because of their support for the wave park.

In two years time other councillors and the Mayor who support the wave park will have to stand for re-election.
