THE article in the March 24 edition headlined “Bowling club land not for sale” states: “The Mayor said the future Tompkins Park Sports Hub was determined not to be suitable for the relocation of the bowling club.”
It was also reported: “He also said the multi-sport hub being designated for Tompkins Park was not the best place for the bowling club, which was outlined as the club’s future home in a previous plan for the area.”
Ratepayers, residents and club members need answers to:
How many studies have there been regarding relocation to Tompkins Park and what has been the consultants cost of these studies?
What has changed from March 24 to consider now relocating the Melville Bowls Club?
What is planned for the land that will be vacated because of this shift?
