River views

Staff ReporterMelville Gazette

IN the October 29 edition article headlined ‘Big plans for local haunt’ about Deep Water Point in Mt Pleasant, the mayor was quoted as referring to “the beautiful view of the City skyline across the Swan River”.

In my opinion, the present view across the river towards the paperbark and other native trees on the opposite bank is far preferable to one of the city.

Further, an editor should have noticed the fact that the river there is not the Swan (which the mayor should have known too) but is the Canning River.
