I WOULD like to thank the kind people on North Lake Road, Alfred Cove, who stopped to help my little dog Archie when he was injured in a hit-and-run accident last Tuesday night.
About eight or so people stayed with him, comforted him in his pain and fear and contacted me.
I was also lent a leash and a towel by two lovely people and helped to find an emergency vet.

READ NOWSadly, after suffering internal injuries and broken bones, Archie passed away, as the damage was much worse than the vet predicted at first.
He will always be in my heart.
Although the driver didn’t stop after fatally hitting my dog, at least I have faith that good-hearted people still exist.
Please, slow down on North Lake Road, and save lives.
T. WENDE,
Alfred Cove
