WHEN owner-builder Trevor Cummings was looking for his next big project, he stumbled across this block in the leafy suburb of Melville.

With stunning views of the Swan River, the location was perfect for his one-of-a-kind residence.

The Urban Worx owner told Residential he built it with casual opulence in mind.

“The north-facing home enjoys stunning river views from the upper level and has been fitted with the finest fittings and fixtures,’’ he said.

“Featuring great insulation, wheelchair access and a seamless flow between inside and outside, the home is incredibly modern.”

When building the home, Mr Cummings wanted to create two levels, which could work effectively together or as two separate homes.

Each level has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an impressive chef’s kitchen with stone benchtops and all the latest gadgets including stainless steel induction appliances.

Beautifully finished in neutral tones, the home’s interior features high ceilings, reverse-cycle airconditioning and jarrah floorboards.

Plantation aluminium shutters are a standout feature and add to the casual tropical ambience throughout the home.

Flooded in natural sunlight, the living zones are open plan and spacious and the perfect spot to put your feet up or entertain.

Added features of this unique home include a fifth bathroom, external elevator, two separate laundries and a spectacular exterior which includes artistic work by a Fremantle artist.

Mr Cummings said the photographic imagery reflected the beautiful location and trees that once occupied the 431sq m block.
