Bears come off tough Giants clash to face Sharks

Staff ReporterMelville Gazette

In first grade, sixth-placed Joondalup went away with an upset victory against top four-placed Willagee 30-22.

Joondalup also won in the reserve grade 38-26, while the women’s team was victorious 34-4 as were the under 18s 52-24. The result means Willagee’s first grade hangs on to a top four position, with six rounds remaining but with plenty of work to do in the run-up to the finals.

Next week, round 16, Willagee are travelling to Rockingham to take on the fifth-placed Sharks in what is now an important clash.
