Bicton’s Mark Ellis named in preliminary national indoor hockey squad

A FREMANTLE Hockey Club player has been named in the preliminary national indoor hockey squad.

Mark Ellis, of Bicton, was picked for the Australian team that will now begin preparations for the Indoor Hockey World Cup in 2018.

Others on the team include Olympic medallists Glenn Turner, Kieran Govers and Tim Deavin.

Ellis will join the team in Canberra mid-year for a three-day selection camp, where the final 12-player team will be named.
