Blake Reed hammered 61, while Myles Keyt took three wickets in a disappointing loss for Melville, who were without all-rounder Drew Porter.
The Storm then fell to Midland-Guildford by 23 runs on Sunday at Tompkins Park.
Reed top-scored again with 47, while Ryan James took 2-35.
Melville will hope to get back on the winners’ list on Saturday when they face Uni at James Oval from 11am.
