ENROLMENTS are now open for term three sports and swimming lesson at the City of Melville’s LeisureFit centres.

Melville Mayor Russell Aubrey said there were many benefits to keeping physically fit, particularly in the winter months when the weather was often less favourable for getting out and about and people were more inclined to hibernate indoors.

“The infant swimming classes also give parents or guardians a special time in the water to bond with their little ones and help develop their confidence,” he said.

“This winter, we have a fantastic range of sports to choose from, including multi-sports, soccer, basketball and netball for children aged three to 12 years, with the swimming classes for all ages starting from age 10 months.”

The first 200 enrolments for sports coaching will receive a free LeisureFit sports top, while the first 200 who enrol and are new to the infant aquatics classes (10 to 36 months) will receive an infant swim pack.

Term three sports and swimming lessons commence during the week beginning Monday, July 17.
