It started with a spirited Anzac Day clash where Lakeside Lightning played host to the East Perth Eagles and were victorious by 10 points (101-91).

Benjamin Beran is continuing his good form for the Lightning, top scoring with 36 points and Brad Jackson chipped in with 24 points.

On Saturday, the Lightning consolidated top spot on the men’s SBL table with a thumping win over the Wanneroo Wolves (148-93). Lakeside opened the match with 40 points in the first quarter and added another 44 in the third to set up the eventual 55-point thumping.

The win moved Lakeside to a 9-1 record just ahead of the Perry Lakes Hawks (7-1).
