In the second last round of the 2015-16 season, the Sharks lost 13-10 to the league-leading City Beach Bears while Saints eased past Phantom Skulls 16-7, both games played at Bicton Pool.

The Sharks’ loss means they fall further behind the second-placed Dolphins but they do remain third with 10 wins and eight losses.

The Bears got off to a fast start against the Sharks, leading 4-1 early in the second quarter and then 11-6 early in the third but the Melville team never gave in and ended up only losing by three.

It was virtually all over as a contest by three quarter-time with the Saints up 12-5.
