Roar team blitzes pack at championships

The club had 39 athletes qualify for the meet, with more than 20 medals won by the locals, including five gold medals, nine silver and seven bronze medals.

Melville’s James Gallagher and Lachlan McDermott both broke meet records in the U14 Men’s 200m and U16 Men’s 100m respectively.

The Little Athletics State Championships were held the following weekend on March 22 and 23, with Melville Roar athletes again dominating the competition.
