PALMYRA regained the John Taylor Cup with a comprehensive 40-5 wet weather victory over Perth Bayswater at Pat O’Hara Reserve last Saturday.

The game was hotly contested in the forwards, where Palmyra’s ascendancy provided front foot ball to a slick back line that scored the majority of its tries through the centres and wing.

Man of the match Joel Winterburn put in an excellent offensive and defensive game from the flank, leading the Pally forwards to a dominant day in the engine room.

Palmyra scored six tries through Winterburn, Mani Eden, Onehunga Havili, Jackson Neilson, Michael Fotu and Tutere Waenga.
