PALMYRA made it three wins from the first three games of the Premier Grade season when it handed Wanneroo a 74-7 drubbing at Tompkins Park on Saturday.

The game was the first home match of the season for Pally with the RugbyWA Cup also up for grabs for the first time.

The Palmyra faithful were out in force to see their side start the game in red-hot form, racing to a 19-0 lead in the opening minutes.

Debutant Chris Miller showed flashes of his speed when he scored a scintillating try down the right sideline to pile further misery on the visitors.

Further second half tries to Trey Moloney, Pau Halafihi and captain Shane Manu, meant the home side went into halftime leading 52-0.

The second half went much the same as the first with Pally dominating possession and territory.

Both Moloney and Miller crossed again to bring up their doubles while there were further tries to Toots Waenga, Mani Eden, Hayden Croghan and Michael Fotu.

Wanneroo never stopped trying and was rewarded with a consolation try mid-way through the second half.

In what was a fantastic day the club, the Palmyra Reserves recorded another century of points, its second in a row, with a 103-0 demolition of Wanneroo.

Colts smashed ARKs 95-0, thirds won in a high scoring affair 71-33 and fourths recorded their first win of the season with a commanding 33-7 victory over UWA.

The Palmyra women’s team went down 34-7 to Wanneroo in what was a hard fought game.

Pally now sits atop the Premier Grade, reserves and colts competitions, with thirds in second place.
