PALMYRA stormed back into the winner’s circle with a comprehensive 43-15 dismantling of Associates at Allen Park on Saturday.
Again it was the Palmyra forwards who laid the foundation for the win, dominating both the scrum and the breakdowns against the overmatched Soaks.
In a best on ground performance, eighth man Levi Auvae ran hard all day to give the Pally backs good forward momentum.
Palmyra had six individual try scorers, including 50-gamer Toots Waenga who crossed from full back, and Future Force winger Onehunga Havilli.
Palmyra juniors Evan Stafford and Henrick DeWet also made their first grade debuts.
The result moves Pally to third on the ladder, four points clear of chasing UWA and Kalamunda.
In other results, the Palmyra reserves hammered Associates 53-21 and the Colts continued their dominance with a 21-7 win over Mandurah.
The women’s side beat Curtin 64-0.
Palmyra is holding a function for past players at its home fixture against Cottesloe June 18 prior to the start of the Premier Grade game.
