Eric has set his sights on playing professional soccer in Europe and received an offer from Real Massima FC Academy, but declined so he could finish his last year of high school at Aquinas College and keep his options open for university.

‘The trial experience was my first in Europe and it was great to experience firsthand what it takes to compete in Europe, where I am aiming to play,’ he said.

‘I would like to play soccer as a professional, but at the moment, along with continuing to attend trial opportunities, my aim for 2015 is to complete Year 12 so I can also have the option to study in the US where I can attend university and play soccer at a high level while studying for a degree.’

Alfred Cove MLA Dean Nalder said he had been following Eric’s progress and recently caught up with Eric to discuss his plans for the future.
