MELVILLE City finished the season on a high note with a 2-0 victory over Wanneroo City at Kingsway Sporting Complex.
Christian Long scored either side of half-time to secure a well-deserved win for the visitors, who played the last 10 minutes with nine men after David McNally and Shahrooz Ghafari were controversially sent off.
The win meant Melville finished in seventh spot out of 12, four points off a promotion play-off spot, a good achievement given they did not win their first game until round eight.
Melville enjoyed the bulk of possession for most of the game and took the lead just before half time when Long volleyed home Mark Lucas’ cross.

But Melville were able to see out the remainder of the game without incident.
