South Coogee to South Africa

Bryce LuffMelville Gazette

Regan Spooner left for Johannesburg last week to play three games against the South African national team and run football clinics for young children.

The trip will also include trips to tourist hot spots.

“I hope to make more friendships with the boys from the other states and to experience different things and the different culture because I want to travel as much as I can,” he said.

The 16-year-old Melville Senior High School student said he would use the trip as another step towards achieving his goal of playing in the AFL.
