Aaron, of Booragoon, and Salter Point resident Kristian Morisey were two Aquinas College students selected to play in the School Sport WA State Cricket Team, which wrapped up on March 1.

‘I started playing cricket at the age of seven for the Kardinya Junior Cricket Club,’ Morisey said.

‘My favourite part of the game is playing with my mates and the mental side to it. Being faced with new challenges and obstacles to overcome is why I enjoy the game so much.’

School Sport WA has been responsible for the development and promotion of representative school sport in Western Australia since its establishment in 1909.

The main purpose of School Sport WA programs is to promote, organise and coordinate sporting competitions for students at local, regional and interstate level.

‘I feel honoured to represent my own State against the best in Australia. You get a great deal of satisfaction when you know all of your hard work is starting to pay off,’ Morisey said.
