THE Melville Sharks have moved to the top of the Water Polo WA Men’s Premier League following an emphatic 16-6 victory over the defending champion UWA City Beach Bears at HBF Stadium on Saturday.

The Sharks would eventually prove too strong for the Bears but only assumed control after quarter-time.

Scores were tied at 4-4 with 42 seconds remaining in the opening term before a late Melville goal on quarter-time from Clancy Neesham.
