JUGGLING footy, basketball and netball is no small feat for Georgie Cleaver.

The Bull Creek girl (14) has enjoyed a successful year on the sporting field, winning trophies and representing her state.

Her latest achievement was winning the WA Basketball Championships with her under 15s Willetton Tigers side on November 23 and 24, where she also claimed MVP honours.

The Santa Maria College student also travelled with the under-15 WA netball team to Queensland for the national carnival in July and followed it up by making the under-15 WA Australian rules team that travelled to Tasmania the following month.

Georgie said rather than being forced to make a choice, she simply tried to focus on the sport she was playing or training for each day. Her longer term aspirations are also split, with dreams to play in the AFLW, Women’s National Basketball League or for the Australian Diamonds.

“I try not to stress out; sometimes there are clashes with training so you might have to miss 30 minutes of a session,” she said.

“There are some sportswomen like Sharni Layton who play in the AFLW and Super Netball and that’s a dream for me.”
