“For our 50th concert, we have organised five-piece band Blue Grass Parkway to perform, widely recognised as Australia’s best bluegrass band.

“They have also won accolades in the US and New Zealand during their 30 years of performing.”

Amanda Young was just 18 when she contracted meningococcal in 1997. Her parents Barry and Lorraine Young started the Amanda Young Foundation in her honour.

The concert is on February 15 at 3 Lilian Rd in Maida Vale. Tickets $25. To book phone 9454 4298 or visit the foundation’s website.

Chairs and light supper will be provided.
