Contestants aged from 12 to 20 gathered at the Brown Park starting line last Wednesday for the inaugural event.
Organised by the Parkerville Seen and Heard youth program, manager Noleen Ryan said it was a fantastic day filled with colourful costumes, fun challenges and plenty of laughter. ‘All the kids loved it,’ she said. ‘There were plenty of surprises along the way, such as one of our team members who dressed in a bear suit.’
They had plenty of opportunity to re-fuel along the way, including cups of chocolate M&Ms, buying biscuits from the IGA and picking up bread rolls for lunch.
