ARSON Squad Detectives investigating a suspicious house fire in Bellevue overnight have appealed for information from the public. Emergency services received reports of a fire at the unoccupied home on Clayton Street near the Henkin Street roundabout just after midnight on April 7. A WA Police spokeswoman said the fire completely destroyed the weatherboard home, and asbestos was located within the building.
“The fire is being treated as suspicious and detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in area around the time of the fire, or earlier in the evening who saw any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles,” she said. Anyone with any information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at www.crimestopperswa.com.au, and can be anonymous.
