POLICE have seized a car that was linked to the shooting of a teenager in Midvale yesterday.

The late-model red Holden Monaro was located overnight, after it was seen driving away from the Ferguson Street property where 19-year-old Jake Turner was shot in the leg.

Mr Turner was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery, after the gunshot narrowly missed an artery in his leg.

Mr Turner’s mum said she believed the shooting was over a long-running drug dispute.

Police raided the same house last month after a woman was shot in her car just streets away, and are investigating if the two incidents are linked.

Midland Detectives are continuing with inquiries to locate occupants of the vehicle, and urge members of the public to contact police immediately on 131 444.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
