It includes the co-located $70 million 60-bed St John of God Midland Private Hospital.

Construction started on the public hospital in 2012 and is the first major hospital facility to be built in the Midland region for more than 50 years.

It is expected to treat about 29,000 inpatients, 60,000 emergency patients and 102,000 outpatients in its first year. More than 1000 people will work there.
