From traditional red roses harking back to the Capulets and the Montagues, it doesn’t have to be all small balconies and mock-death stares.
Perhaps your true love would like ‘I Love You’ strawberry champagne jam or tantric figs and oysters, or it might be bamboo socks and organic chocolate that tickles their instep, but there are lots of great gift ideas for Valentine’s Day to be found around town.
At Wild Seasons Flowers at Barberry Square Kalamunda the buckets of red roses are banking up to the foyer of the shopping centre for the busiest day of the year.
‘We can’t get enough roses,’ proprietor Brian Kostera said after more than 50 Valentine’s Days in the business.
Flowers are always a special way to treat your partner so why not buy them from one of the experts in the flower business.
Across the valley at Sweets and Treats in Helena Valley there is every kind of chocolate imaginable to tempt your tastebuds and sweeten your appetite; especially imported German Heidel milk chocolate in lovely tins.
Owner Noelene Lynch has also stocked giant freckles which say ‘I love you’ and the best seller, the bunches of bees and ladybugs, are boxed this year for something different and cost-effective retailing.
Sweets and Treats will also stock fresh flowers on the day.
