LEADING outback survival expert Bob Cooper is for the first time launching a women’s survival course in WA from November.

The best-selling Chidlow author of the book Outback Survival, has been helping teach people to survive the outback for more than 30 years.

He said as more women embraced an outdoor lifestyle, it was critical they honed their survival skills.

The women’s survival course is designed as a ‘campfire classroom’ for women of all ages to boost decision-making skills, venture further afield and take a leading role in a crisis situation.

Course topics will cover the survival psychology, compass use, sun and stars for navigation, edible and medicinal plants, along with other vital knowledge.

The first women’s course begins on November 3 near Chidlow.
