“Youth Out Loud provides a great opportunity for young people in the City to be a voice for their community,” he said.

“Contestants can speak out about the issues important to them and their surrounding community – including family, friends, neighbours and colleagues.

“The theme for this year’s competition is ‘Home’.

“We want to hear from contestants about what home means to them and what their hopes may be for their home – whether it’s a physical place, a group of people or a state of mind.”

Nominations close July 27.

A workshop will be held on June 29 from 6pm to 8pm at Midland Youth Hub on Padbury Terrace, Midland.
