Western Australian Disability Enterprises celebrates 3 years

The group comprises eight organisations that work together to provide supported employment for about 2000 people in WA living with disability and mental illness.

The event also celebrated WADE’s securing $25 million in longer-term contract agreements with State and local government agencies and winning the Buy Social award at the 2015 Social Enterprise Awards in Melbourne.

High Wycombe resident Ruth Cresswell was one of five supported employees from across the State who was presented with a length of service award recognising her work for ParaQuad Industries.

Employment and training officer Trudy Logan said Ms Cresswell has worked at the business for 25 years.
