Dads in Distress hosting fun day for fathers and kids in Guildford

Lynn GriersonMidland Kalamunda Reporter

FAMILY fun for fathers and their children is the aim behind the first Dad’s Day in Guildford later this month.

Dads in Distress facilitator Alan Patterson would like other community organisations to get behind the group’s afternoon of activities and games to help dads bond with their kids.

He said Dads in Distress supported men undergoing acrimonious splits, often estranged from their children and struggling to gain custody/visitation rights.

“The objective is to help bond dads, fathers’ groups and children from split families, and we would welcome the sharing of community based resources at this event,” he said.
