STUDENTS from Swan View Senior High School have become everyday heroes.

They took part in a choreographed dance at Forrest Place earlier this month to help raise awareness for the Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Research Foundation (CLCRF).

“Our students are always willing to help others in need and are always approaching me with ideas of how we can support our community,” Swan View teacher Leanne Beevers said.

“I thought it would be something that our students would be keen to get involved in.”

Year 9 student Xela Dequina said it was a great cause.

“To know that we can help out while doing something we love makes it even better,” she said.

Fellow Year 9 student Manon Burgos said the dance made most students happy.

“If we can make people smile, especially those who are suffering, we know that we have spread our happiness around,” Manon said.

Ms Beevers said students also held fund-raisers for the foundation at the school.
