MULTI-award winning contemporary soul duo The Merindas will headline this year’s Corymbia Festival on March 11 at Hartfield Park in Forrestfield.

Candice Lorrae and Kristel Kickett have shared the stage with Australia’s biggest stars, including Archie Roach, Casey Donovan, Christine Anu, Jessica Mauboy, Nathaniel, Troy Casser-Daley and RnB winner Brandy.

Lorrae said the duo’s first single Ready To Love won Indigenous WAM Song Of The Year in 2015 and saw the dynamic duo take their show on the road to Sydney, Melbourne with plans to perform in Singapore.

“When we step onto the stage we feel unstoppable,” she said.

“We love to dress-up, to dance and sing.

“To make the people a part of the show and to move them with amazing music is our biggest reward.”

Shire of Kalamunda President Andrew Waddell said the popular Corymbia Multicultural Festival was a free family event, and an opportunity to celebrate the community’s diversity.

“Corymbia will be jam packed with cultural dance and music performances, multicultural food stalls, free amusement rides, interactive mural paintings, umbrella and graffiti art workshops, BMX exhibitions, market stalls and a huge fireworks finale,” he said.
