Four people charged over robbery

FOUR people have been charged over a robbery in Stratton where they allegedly carjacked a woman’s vehicle and used her credit card.

It will be alleged a woman was sitting in the passenger seat of a Ford Falcon sedan, parked at a shopping centre on Farrell Road on August 10 at 8.20pm.

Police said two men entered her car and forced her to get out, took her phone and bag and sped off as the woman got out of the car.

It is further alleged that later that evening, the victim’s credit card was used to make purchases at a convenience store in Leederville.

Police said the car was then involved in a fuel drive-off in Karrinyup early Sunday morning.

Two men from Swan View were charged with aggravated robbery.

The 22-year-old man will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today while the 25-year-old man will appear in Midland Magistrates Court in September.

A 21-year-old man from Osborne Park has been charged with stealing, no authority to drive during a suspension and stealing a motor vehicle.

A 24-year-old woman from Osborne Park has been charged with gaining a benefit by fraud, receiving and stealing a motor vehicle.

Both accused from Osborne Park will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on August 30.
