Free Corymbia Multicultural Festival to draw the crowds

MORE than 5000 people are expected to attend the Corymbia Multicultural Festival at Hartfield Park in Forrestfield.

City of Kalamunda mayor John Giardina said the free community festival showcases live music and dance from different cultures.

“The Corymbia Multicultural Festival is of major significance to the City,” he said.

“It brings everyone together to recognise and celebrate our diverse backgrounds.

“We are very lucky to be able to experience and enjoy the stories, food, dance, music and rituals of countries from all around the globe right here in our City.”

The grounds have been tailored to keep kids and families entertained all day, with carnival rides, inflatables, arcade games and a plethora of kids’ activities on offer.

The day will close with a fireworks display around 8pm.

Corymbia is on from 2pm to 8pm on Saturday, March 9.
