GRAB a snag at an upcoming Aussie Day weekender to help boost the funds of emergency volunteer groups.

Barbecue tucker will be available from 9am to 4pm on January 28, outside Bunnings stores in Kalamunda and Midland, in support of Darlington and Kalamunda Volunteer Bushfire Brigades.

The Association of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades spokesman, David Gossage, said the DIY stores annually supported the fundraising initiative.

“We encourage residents to come down to Bunnings and buy a snag to help raise funds that will go directly to assisting our volunteers and enabling them to continue the great work they do,” he said.

Bunnings area manager Ryan Baker said the Aussie Day barbecue was a way for people to show their appreciation for volunteer emergency services around the country.

Contact the stores for details of family activities, games and entertainment throughout the day.
