ST Matthew’s Anglican Church in Stirling Square, Guildford, has installed its Christmas baubles and lights on the fir tree in the front yard in preparation for end-of-year festivities.

The Reverend Elizabeth Smith said the combined Guildford churches’ Carols by Candlelight would be held at Stirling Square on Sunday, December 20, from 7pm.

“This is a great family night and the perfect way to start the Christmas week, so we encourage people to come down early and get a good spot and enjoy a picnic,” she said.

Other Christmas services include:

Christmas Eve, 11pm, Holy Communion at St Matthew’s;

Christmas Day, 9am, Holy Communion at St Matthew’s.
