Guildford Carols by Candlelight at Stirling Square on Sunday

Justin BianchiniMidland Kalamunda Reporter

The Anglican, Catholic and Uniting churches have worked together since the early 1980s to co-ordinate the Christmas celebration for people from Guildford and its surrounds.

Families can enjoy a picnic dinner before the concert that features performances from local schools, bands and choirs.

Carols committee member Jocelyne Taylor said guest performers included WA soprano Stephanie Gooch, The Real Thing choir, and students from Guildford Primary School and St Brigid’s School.

“We’re excited to be putting on a bigger and better event than last year when we had more than 800 people come along,” she said.
