STIRLING Square will again be the setting for the annual Guildford Carols by Candlelight on Sunday, December 18, at 7pm.
The Anglican, Catholic and Uniting churches have worked together since the early 1980s to co-ordinate the Christmas celebration for people from Guildford and its surrounds.
Families can enjoy a picnic dinner before the concert that features performances from local schools, bands and choirs.
Carols committee member Jocelyne Taylor said guest performers included WA soprano Stephanie Gooch, The Real Thing choir, and students from Guildford Primary School and St Brigid’s School.
“We’re excited to be putting on a bigger and better event than last year when we had more than 800 people come along,” she said.
“We hope to see it continue to grow; it’s our gift to the community at Christmas time.”
There will be coffee and ice-cream vans, and everyone is welcome to join in the singing.
