LOVE is well and truly in the air at Guildford’s Angel Flowers, with the family business working around the clock preparing for Valentine’s Day.

The award-winning florist will be working all day and night in preparation for the event, with a team of up to 15 people making sure every flower is perfect.

Angel Flowers owner Susan Di Paolo said Valentine’s Day was a very romantic time as a florist.

“We see ourselves as the messengers,” she said.

“We love Valentine’s Day because everyone goes to that extra effort to make someone feel special and that’s a beautiful thing to be part of.”

The florist will make more than 100 deliveries on the day to loved-up people all over Perth.

Ms Di Paolo said the day was very high pressure for rose growers and florists, especially with last minute orders.

“We always get the men who call us last minute, who have forgotten to order something,” she said.

“We try to prepare, so when we get those last minute orders we can help them.”

Ms Di Paolo said there were many men and women across Perth spoiling their partners this year.

She did offer advice to men and women out there, whose partners said not to worry about a gift this year.

“Even if your partner says she doesn’t want anything, still get her something because she’s hoping you will,” she said

“Men want to make women happy, but sometimes they need a little help.”
