MORE than 30 Guildford Grammar school students now have bald heads after taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave last week at a special assembly.
The school raised more than $20,000, with members of the 200 club who raised at least a couple of hundred dollars shaving their heads for the cause.
A Guildford Grammar spokeswoman said there were 31 boys who had their heads shaved and two girls who coloured their hair as part of the Crazy Hair Day fundraiser for the Leukaemia Foundation.

READ NOW“We also had two staff members involved – our senior chaplain Fr Philip Raymont had a beard trim and Mrs Budler, a Year 2 teacher had her head shaved,” she said.
“Over the past 12 years we have raised over $108,570 to help find a cure and provide support for people with leukaemia.
“Students raised money in a variety of ways, from chores around the house, favours and small tasks for neighbours and their immediate community, sponsorship from families, friends and parents’ workplaces and donating from their own savings/pocket money.”
