The Tactical Response Group (TRG) was called, and a trained negotiator tried to talk to the man.

He refused to negotiate, but surrendered when TRG officers entered the home.

No one was injured in the incident.

The man has also been charged with threats to injure, obstructing police and disorderly behaviour.

He will front Midland Magistrates Court today.
